Framing

Have you been out with your camera this weekend? I have. I followed my own advice and took photos of Autumn.

Well...the Photography Program is well underway. We are all starting to get excited and we learnt our first technique: Framing.
Using this technique will help you get some excellent results with your images and they will stand out. All you need to do is create a "natural border" around your subject. You can use anything that is available to you. A door frame, an arch, a bush, a bridge, a pole, trees, a hole, arms and people are all good examples, but the list is infinite...all you need is to look outside the box and be creative.
I have been reviewing you work and many of you remember lots of things already. Here is a list of what you said you learnt so far:

1- Light is essential for photography
2- A border improves composition
3- Shadows in the wrong place can ruin a photo
4- Framing gives context to your subject
5- Borders add depth to an image
6- There are many styles of photography
7- Always carry your camera with you
8- You need to look for the right light
9- Don't shake the camera or the photos will be blurry
10- Photography can be used to express feelings
11- Framing should suit the subject of the image

This week 6M and 6W (if the weather helps)  will go out and shoot. We will try to use Framing to make our images look stunning. 6R will be learning how to post comments here and how to download their images onto the computer.
